I started Poolside Succulents to elevate succulents beyond garden-variety plants in uninspired pots.
The arrangements I create are living art, made with quality succulents hand-picked from wholesale nurseries in North County. Each piece is thoughtfully composed for balance, texture, and color.
I gravitate toward bold, design-forward containers like giant tiki heads, hand-painted bird cages, and sculptural shells, bringing each one to life in a way that feels fresh, original, and often unexpected. My favorite finds are vintage vessels, many of which I’ve discovered on my travels abroad.
When I’m not up to my elbows in succulent soil, I serve on the board of the Point Loma Association, where I run Business Memberships and our monthly mixers, connecting local businesses and building community. I’m also the author of the best-selling book Hello, My Name is Awesome: How To Create Brand Names That Stick, and founder of the naming consultancy Eat My Words.
